• Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Act 2015 - the Act criminalises all forms of human trafficking and exploitation, with specific provisions to protect child victims. It strengthens law enforcement powers and mandates support services, recognising trafficked children as vulnerable individuals entitled to immediate protection and assistance. 
• Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 - the Act reinforces children's rights and places duties on public bodies to safeguard child wellbeing. It supports early identification and intervention, ensuring trafficked children receive coordinated care through mechanisms like the Named Person and Child's Plan.
