Most of the key statutory guidance and strategy on safeguarding unaccompanied asylum seeking and refugee children and child victims of slavery in England applies in Scotland also. However, there is some Scottish-specific guidance outlined below. 

• Age Assessment Practice Guidance for Scotland (2018) – the document provides practical guidance for social workers and their managers involved in undertaking age assessments in Scotland.
• National Guidance for Child Protection in Scotland (2014) – sets out a framework for all agencies and practitioners to identify and respond to concerns about the safety and wellbeing of children.
